Genetec Security Center is an enterprise unified video surveillance and access control platform. A fresh installation creates an 'Admin' account with no password by default. This account has full administrative access to all cameras, doors, alarms, and system configuration. Genetec's Hardening Guide (documented across versions 5.8–5.12) explicitly instructs administrators to set a password for the Admin account as the first hardening step. The Security Center Server Admin web interface (port 4590 by default) also uses the same blank-password Admin account. Genetec's documentation warns that leaving this account without a password creates critical exposure.
