IBM WebSphere Application Server Community Edition (WAS CE), now discontinued, shipped with admin/admin as the documented default credentials for the Geronimo-based administration console at http://localhost:8080/console. IBM's own support article explicitly states these credentials and explains how to add users to the admin group. WAS CE was distributed as a free, open-source J2EE application server based on Apache Geronimo. Despite being discontinued, many legacy deployments remain active.
