Viptela (acquired by Cisco in 2017) SD-WAN control-plane appliances — vBond (orchestrator) and vSmart (controller) — shipped with admin/admin as the factory default. After Cisco rebranding, these components became Cisco SD-WAN vBond and vSmart but retained admin/admin for self-hosted virtual deployments. Distinct from vManage (the management GUI) which has separate documented credentials. The Viptela OS CLI and web UI both accept these defaults.
