In all new Automation Builder V3 PLC projects, a default 'Owner' user is created with an empty (blank) password and full project administrator rights. User management must be explicitly activated; without activation, any Automation Builder client can connect without authentication at all. ABB warns that if the activated administrator password is lost, the PLC must be returned to the factory for reset — making the default empty password particularly dangerous.
