Aruba Networks (HPE) AOS-CX Switch (CX 6200 / 6300 / 6400 / 8100 / 8320 / 8360 / 8400 series) — Default Password
Default username and password for the Aruba Networks (HPE) AOS-CX Switch (CX 6200 / 6300 / 6400 / 8100 / 8320 / 8360 / 8400 series): admin / (blank). Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.
Factory-default AOS-CX switches ship with a single built-in user 'admin' and an empty password. At first login via console or SSH, the switch prompts the user to set a password (per 2020 California IoT security law). Remote SSH and web management are accessible on first boot with admin/(blank) before the password is set. AOS-CX is distinct from the older ArubaOS-Switch (ProCurve) platform.
| Username | Password | Access | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
admin | (blank / none) | SSH | Blank password on factory default. First login prompts for password change. |
admin | (blank / none) | Web UI | Same blank-password default for the REST API / web management interface. |
