WeMo devices expose a UPnP SOAP API on the local network with no authentication. During initial setup the device creates an open Wi-Fi access point (no WPA key). The app-to-device protocol uses no encryption or authentication. Affects WeMo Switch, WeMo Insight Switch, WeMo Mini Smart Plug, and similar models.
