Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 1.0 / 1.1 (legacy) — Default Password
Default username and password for the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 1.0 / 1.1 (legacy): admin / cisco. Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.
Historical default only — Cisco ISE 1.0 and 1.1 shipped with admin/cisco as the factory default admin account. From ISE 2.x onward, the admin password is mandatory set during the CLI setup wizard and admin/cisco is no longer valid. The ISE 3.2 installation guide explicitly states: 'the previous Cisco ISE-PIC Admin default login credentials (admin/cisco) are no longer valid.' All modern ISE deployments require a custom admin password set at installation.
| Username | Password | Access | Version / firmware | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
