Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) — Local Install (development/lab) — Default Password

Default username and password for the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) — Local Install (development/lab): admin / admin. Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.

Default admin/admin and oper/oper users exist ONLY in --local-install mode (development and lab use only, explicitly not for production). Cisco's AAA Infrastructure guide states: 'The local installation variant, targeting development only, defines two users, admin and oper with passwords set to admin and oper respectively.' Applies to CLI, REST API, NETCONF, and web UI. Production --system-install has no default application-level credentials (uses Linux PAM). Cisco explicitly warns against using local-install for production.
