Citrix NetScaler (rebranded as NetScaler ADC, now Cloud Software Group NetScaler) ships with a built-in superuser account 'nsroot' and the default password 'nsroot'. This account cannot be deleted and has unrestricted access to all management functions. The nsroot credential is valid for both the web-based management GUI and the CLI/SSH interface. Starting with ADC 13.0 build 67.x, the system prompts for a password change on first login. Applies to NetScaler MPX, SDX, VPX, and CPX.
