Domoticz is an open-source home automation system supporting Z-Wave, Zigbee, MQTT, and many IoT protocols. Since Stable 2023.1, Domoticz enables authentication by default with a pre-set admin/domoticz credential, replacing the previously open (no-auth) default. Earlier versions had no authentication enabled, making the web UI fully open on port 8080/8443 by default — a frequent security risk on home networks. The mobile app and REST API use the same credentials.
