On many Epson WorkForce Pro and EcoTank network printers, the administrator password for the Web Config utility is either blank/empty (CVE-2024-47295, CVSS 8.1) or set to the device's serial number printed on the product label. CVE-2024-47295 documents that unauthenticated users on the network can set a new admin password on uninitialized units. Affects printers accessible at their management IP on port 80/443.
