F5 Networks BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) / Application Security Manager (ASM) — Default Password
Default username and password for the F5 Networks BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) / Application Security Manager (ASM): admin / admin. Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.
F5 BIG-IP appliances and virtual editions ship with two default accounts. 'admin' (admin/admin) provides access to the web-based Configuration Utility and REST API. 'root' (root/default) provides CLI/bash shell access. Beginning with BIG-IP 14.0.0, both passwords are marked as expired on new installations and must be changed before the system can be fully configured. Earlier versions allowed operation with these defaults indefinitely. Applies to LTM, ASM, APM, GTM, and combined TMOS-based platforms.
