Loki has no built-in authentication. The HTTP API on port 3100 accepts all requests without credentials by default. Grafana Labs recommends placing Loki behind a reverse proxy with authentication. Multi-tenant mode (X-Scope-OrgID header) provides isolation but not authentication.
