Default username and password for the iXsystems TrueNAS SCALE: admin / truenas. Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.
TrueNAS SCALE ships with a default local administrator account (admin / truenas). The web UI prompts for a password change on first login. Older TrueNAS CORE (FreeNAS) releases used the root account with a blank password until an install-time password was set via the installer wizard.
