JetPack 4.x (L4T R32.x) images for all Jetson developer kit variants ship with default Linux user 'nvidia' and password 'nvidia'. SSH is enabled after the initial Ubuntu setup completes. JetPack 5.0+ (for Jetson Orin and production modules) uses a first-boot setup wizard that requires setting credentials; the nvidia/nvidia default does not apply to those versions.
