YSQL (PostgreSQL-compatible layer) uses yugabyte/yugabyte by default. YCQL (Cassandra-compatible layer) defaults to cassandra/cassandra. Credentials ship enabled only in insecure/developer mode; secure deployments generate per-cluster credentials.
