Default username and password for the Apache Software Foundation Apache Hive / HiveServer2: anonymous / (blank). Learn how to log in and how to change the default credentials.
hive.server2.authentication defaults to NONE — HiveServer2 uses plain SASL transport with no credential validation. Any username (commonly 'anonymous') and any password (including blank) are accepted. Applies to vanilla Apache Hive; CDH/HDP distributions may ship with Kerberos enabled.
