Juniper EX Series switches running Junos OS ship with a factory-default configuration using 'root' with no password. Initial access is via console only. The system enforces setting a root password before any configuration can be committed. SSH/Telnet are disabled until a root password is set and committed. This applies to the EX2300, EX3400, EX2300-C, and most other EX Series models.
